Plugins install more reliably and safely
You can now install marketplace plugins in a format that other compatible apps can also understand. Plugin problems are handled more gracefully too, so one broken part no longer makes the whole plugin disappear or stop working. If a plugin is removed, changed, or fails to load, Artyx now gives you clearer status and cleans up more completely. Connection problems are also easier to understand in Settings, with the actual endpoint shown instead of a template.
-
Connections recover more reliably
Artyx now handles connection hiccups more gracefully, so you can keep working with fewer interruptions. If a connected tool drops out, the app is better at trying again and telling you what went wrong in a way that helps you keep moving.
-
Faster 3D painting and cleaner canvas controls
You can now paint to 3D much faster, with ortho view extraction and paint-to-model steps finishing in a fraction of the time. The canvas is also easier to read, with cleaner node controls and a clearer aspect ratio choice in Derive Image. Codex and Grok now use the CLI you already installed, so setup is lighter and the connectors follow the version you have on your machine.
-
Review generated work in a new workspace
You can now review generated images in a dedicated workspace instead of digging through chat history. Four external assistants can also place their results on the canvas, with clearer consent and better tracking of which model made each reply. Chat and canvas interactions are more reliable, so runs are less likely to get stuck or reopen by mistake.
-
Tighter image-to-3D workflows and safer tools
You can now move through concept art, orthographic passes, baking, and final 3D work with a clearer image-first flow. External tools also have a more explicit settings surface and stronger consent checks, while the interface is denser and easier to read. Several reliability fixes make long runs safer, reduce broken layouts, and keep your work and billing boundaries intact.
-
A cleaner canvas and smarter view generation
You can now work on a cleaner, more consistent canvas, with every media node using the same card layout and better proportions for images. The agent also handles orthographic views more reliably, so side views stay linked to the model they came from and can be applied back with confidence. The dashboard has been redesigned to make it easier to pick up where you left off.
-
Cleaner UI and stronger agent tools
This release makes Artyx feel more polished and capable. The app gets a flatter dark interface, the default fast model is upgraded, and the agent can now work with orthographic views and retexture 3D objects more directly. It also fixes a few reliability issues so chats, connections, and marketplace links behave more predictably.
-
Better canvas controls and clearer chat errors
This release makes the canvas feel easier to control and less cluttered. You can now rotate image nodes, use smarter alignment guides while dragging, and hide edges when you want a cleaner view. Chat also does a better job of telling you when something has gone wrong, instead of stopping without explanation.
-
Spatial Gallery redesign lands in Artyx
This release gives the workspace a big visual refresh, with a cleaner Canvas and Chat layout, a more polished settings window, and easier-to-scan chat results. It also adds clearer multi-agent run feedback, improves plugin setup, and makes switching between Canvas and Chat much faster.
-
3D jobs land on canvas
This release adds async 3D generation jobs, so long-running model work can pause and resume on its own instead of leaving the chat stuck waiting. You also get a cleaner, more compact workspace with trackpad-friendly canvas controls and a Canvas/Chat toggle for tighter windows.
-
Marketplace and new models arrive
This release adds an in-app Marketplace so you can install MCP servers and skills without leaving Settings. It also brings a cleaner chat composer, clearer connection errors, and four new model choices in the picker.
-
Faster, cleaner sign-in screen
This release makes Artyx open faster by replacing the old animated sign-in screen with a simple static image. If you were seeing lag or stutter at launch, boot should now feel smoother and more responsive.
-
Faster canvas and smarter chat tools
This release makes the canvas much smoother and more reliable when zooming around big graphs. It also adds a more capable chat composer, better support for connected MCP servers, and new agent skill loading that can happen automatically. On top of that, Quick-Derive and Settings both got cleaner and easier to use.
-
Credits shown, paid models fixed
This release makes it clearer how many Artyx credits you have and how much each generation will cost before you run it. It also fixes an issue that could wrongly block paid models for users who already had access, so those models should open normally again. Behind the scenes, the desktop app should now package and publish much faster and more reliably.
-
Credits, faster installs, and paid model fixes
This release makes pricing easier to understand by showing your balance and generation costs in Artyx credits. It also fixes an issue that could wrongly block paid models for paying users. On top of that, the Mac and Windows app packages are much smaller, so downloads and installs should be a lot faster.
-
Paid model access and credit costs improved
This release fixes an issue that could incorrectly block paid models for people who already have access. It also makes pricing easier to understand by showing balances and generation costs in Artyx credits inside the app.
-
New model options and billing fixes
This release adds three new model choices to the picker, including a new recommended Claude option, a faster Brain model, and a cheaper image model. It also fixes a billing issue with one image model and removes an invisible retry problem that was slowing down Claude Sonnet 5 messages.
-
Source-based variants get smarter controls
This release makes derives feel more intentional and easier to steer. You can now generate grounded variants from a source image, lock projection behavior for cleaner ortho and texture-map results, and pick different models for segmentation tasks. It also fixes several workflow issues around drafts, resolution, references, and uploads.
-
Untitled work now saves safely
You can now start a workspace without naming it first, and Artyx will keep it as a real draft you can reopen later. This release also fixes two annoying canvas issues: the workspace switcher no longer sits on top of the sidebar, and generated images now appear at their proper size.
-
Pick reference images straight from your canvas, in a faster, smoother app
Adding reference images just got much faster: everywhere Artyx asks for a reference image, you can now pick one already on your canvas instead of re-uploading it. This release also makes the app noticeably quicker to launch and smoother to work in, and fixes generated images showing up twice in your asset sidebar.
-
One chat now drives the whole canvas
Artyx now centers everything around the right-side Agent chat, so you can generate, analyze, and place work from one place. It also understands 3D objects, keeps longer conversations from losing context, and cleans up a few canvas interactions to feel smoother and more direct.
-
Texture-Map editing lands on the canvas
This release adds a new Texture-Map node so you can pull a model’s UV atlas into the canvas, edit it, and apply it back to the object. It also makes Quick Run safer when you start from an image, and adds a few quality-of-life upgrades like image retry, pasted reference images, and clearer 3D viewing tools.
-
Split images easily and generate 3D from multiple views
Artyx is now in open beta for everyone to use, featuring powerful new tools to break images into parts and create 3D models from multiple angles. We have also improved performance and reliability to ensure your creative workflow stays smooth and responsive.
-
Quick Run gets calmer and more reliable
This release focuses on making Quick Run and image references behave more predictably. Hard or messy requests are now handled with clearer guidance instead of raw errors, generated images can label themselves automatically, and several 3D and canvas issues were fixed so the app feels steadier in day-to-day use.
-
Plan limits now update live
This release makes plan limits easier to understand and keeps them in sync with your subscription without restarting the app. It also adds clearer help when something is blocked, so you can tell what to upgrade or change right away.
-
Signed desktop builds for Mac and Windows
This release packages Artyx desktop as signed app builds for macOS and Windows. For most designers, the main benefit is a smoother, more trusted install experience on those platforms. There are no new in-app features listed in these notes.
-
Workspace Launcher and Settings get a fresh redesign
This release gives Artyx a cleaner first impression with a redesigned Workspace Launcher and Settings screen, plus a new floating Agent chat panel. It also includes smoother canvas performance and a batch of fixes for 3D, windows, and canvas behavior that make the app feel more reliable day to day.
-
Public launch with faster bottom-bar workflows
Artyx’s first public release introduces a simpler way to create from the bottom bar, a refreshed Prism look across the canvas, and a real 3D viewing experience. It also fixes several frustrating stuck states, so jobs recover more reliably and the app feels steadier for day-to-day use.
